He only has about 24months before a new NDC Flagbearer is elected in 2026 for the 2028 elections.

There is no reshuffle here. Mahama is just happy to have achieved his 2nd Term in Office which this was all it is about.

Unfortuunately an opportunity for an NDC President to stay for 2 terms and really direct the affairs of the country to a sound and stable position has been made impossible because of the greed of Mahama.

The reality is that its going to be a waste of 4 years for country and NDC. As soon as a new flagbearer is elected in 2026, the current government becomes a lame-duck government.

Because the new Flagbearer will interfere in the affairs of the government so it doesn't affect his fortune and prospects in 2028!

The whole of 2026 is going to be about NDC elections including some within the Mahama Cabinet who would not to compete. Frim 2026 the govt will be lameduck because the focus will be the new flagbearer. Once the new flagbearer is appointed the focus will be on him and the 2028 elections and not the govt.

If Mahama has given the opportunity to another person to be head of State in 2024 this coming chaos could have been voided as there would be no need for a new NDC flagbearer in 2028 and the incumbent would focus on just good governance to win the 2028 elections bringing continuity and stability to ths NDC.

@Kwaku you make sense, because the rate of corruption at the GFA particularly around randy abbey and okraku, they wouldnt allow a loyal person like Vanderpuye to come closer at all.
