As a matter of fact, Ghana must take a critical steps to develop boxing again.
I remember in the 60s, boxing was a regular sport in the regions.
Growing up in Sekondi, Eddy Blay was our idol because of his performance in the Olympic Games.
Another great sports figure was Rose Hart also Sekondi.
When it comes to football back then, Black Stars have many great players from Sekondi.
Unfortunately, today there's not a single popular sportsman from Sekondi/Takoradi.
It's a big disgrace of how sports have eluded the Western Region where we used to produce National champions.
We can't forget the Hanson brothers when it comes to Table Tennis.Tnx.

Is a nation built by just lifting the nation flag?. Can the achievement of that boxer you talking about be compared to the achievements of President Nana Akufo-Addo? Why is that we don’t want to face facts. Nana Addo is the best president Ghana has ever had. He stands so tall among them all.
