The 8 players mostly stayed away because the last 2 matches were not important because the chances of Sudan losing the last 2 matches and them overtaking Sudan was very slim. Has nothing to do with Jordan being captain. Some of those players had stayed away previously when Jordan was not captain and even when Kudus was made captain for the one match.
