You can do the demos in Accra all year long and the problem will still be there. The people in the galamsey areas need to be educated on the dangers of mining in our water bodies and the forests. Asking the president to declare a state of emergency will not do anything to stop the guys over there.
If you're men and women go to the galamsey areas and do the demos.They are even fighting the security agencies.The laws are there to be obeyed but sometimes people need to be talked to.
Trust me if the president does all your demands it will still be difficult to stop them.
Go to the heart of the problem and talk to the illegal miners.Give them alternate livelihood jobs though.
