What has parliament to do with Kotoko’s traveling to the USA to play. Kotoko is a private football club like the rest of them, so why should parliament use taxpayers money to help their business. I wish someone would tell the speaker of parliament that Kotoko is not a national football club and should stay that way.

Check your report well. The writer wrote that the match will take place next year but later in the same report wrote that the match is taking place on the 12th of October 2024

The Speaker didn't say the Government is sponsoring Kotoko for the match in United States. He said he has instructed his team to find ways of raising funds from CORPORATE BODIES to support the club's participation in the match. He never said the Government is sponsoring the trip. And besides we all know Kotoko is not a National Team. And so why will he say that? Hope you will go back to read what he said again .
