  Please dont have blind nationalism, this has nothing to do with Arteta not liking him. The guy is always injured, and most of his injuries occur in training, not even the actual game. He would be a liability to any manager. I'm sure if he had stayed fit this season, and had a good season, they would renewed his contract by now.
