So based on what did the organisers of this competition come up with the decision to choose Kotoko - they are not the defending champs in any of the championships played last season, namely the premier league, the FA cup and the President cup. This is how Akufo Addo destroyed Ghana football because of Kotoko and he is still doing it - he thought he could put down every other team in Ghana so that Kotoko would rise up, and the result is the state of football we are seeing in Ghana today.

Stop the envy. It’s only Kotoko that has the fans to fill the stadium in a match of this nature. So you want us to invite the president of Ivory Coast together with Asec Mimosa to play Hearts/Aduana/Samartex in an empty stadia?Take it or leave it the Kotoko brand is too big than any club in Ghana just forget about their current form.Dreams FC is currently in the quarter finals in the African club competition but it’s looks too normal for Ghanaian fans but if we’re to be Kotoko I bet you the whole nation will have been on fire.So worry not about Kotoko for they build their foundation when you were probably not born and are reaping what they sow.

Stupid write up de3 stupid write up - thank you Kb. Mr Hunter or whatever you call yourself, since Akufo Addo became the president, he has been using nepotism/favouritism in our football sector trying desperately to lift Kotoko up and it's not working, it's rather killing football in Ghana in general and people like you will not allow us to highlight the problem. If Akufo Addo was worried about the Ivorian President witnessing an empty stadium on such an occasion, couldn't he have made the match a gate-free to all football fans as a gesture on our Independence Day and let Asec play Hearts of Oak since they are the defending champs?

At the peakmost anquish of Ghana football lovers, and public outcry of the fallen standard of our national sports in general: In fact I was exceedingly encouraged and overwhelmed by that kind of formation the Kotoko boys put up to changed the entire 2nd Half. I don't want to talk about the deliberately fricky and abysmal performance of the Togolese referee had his biasness in own pocket (and even some honest arch-rivally fans could attest to this).
Perhap, he saw the game differently and decided to sell out his professional dignity to the globalviewers and the voice-ferous spectators.
With this 2-1 result, I believe, with one or two trimmings by coach Ogum, Kotoko can play and do well in Africa next year, if they win the GPL this season.
Nevertheless, they have given a convincingly good account of themselves; They should leave this "Peace- reconciliation" match behind, and focus on the League. Great performance, Kotoko!!
