The $48m is just the budget submitted by the LOC for organising the games including pre-planning , planning and the games period itself. If you know how government finances work, you will realise that the $48m has not been given to them. Infact the LOC is even struggling to get funds to do branding and adverts. Even one of the top officials from the continent's games body who arrived in Ghana has deplored the lack of branding n adverts. So some of you should hold your guns for now.

Some of us expected the concerned parties to state categorically that they have not spent us 193m on capital items to date; and that the operational budget was not us48m. We expected then the correct authentic figures on : 1. The capital( structures, planning etc) items to date. Then 2.. The budget for the games( hosting, protocol etc). As matters stand now , ALL that they have done is to indirectly admit that the MP's figures are authentic. Not to worry, we have been through this sort of thing a few times in the past.We know that Sam O A is right.
