  It should be possible to insure the players that are selected for the national team. The insurance should be rated against injury or worse, and, perchance, the service to the national team jeopardizes their performance/role with their professional clubs.
  
  The players must also act proactively by insuring themselves and their families.
  
  There should be continuous education of the players on contracts, investment, and other fiduciary matters.

  It is not an FA's job to take care of players after their assignment. You as a player have to prepare for the future. You do not see FA's in other countries doing this. The GFA paid for Akaminko's surgery and that is good enough. Akaminko dipped in form and that is why he was not called. Black Stars is not a charity case. Ghana benefits from the players but the players also benefit by receiving exposure and a chance to make a name for themselves on the international stage. I am tired of these guys thinking the GFA owes them.

  You aren't a player that's why you're saying this.They should have called him to check on him cuz if he was still flourishing in his club the GFA will need his services for the national team.He didn't ask them to give him money.He was asking for their concern.Call him and wish him well during his difficult times.The FA is full of corrupt people who don't have our players at heart but they only think about the money they'll earn from the country and the players. Don't blindly support their incompetence.
