Volta F. A. announces programme for 2006 season

Ho, Jul. 29, GNA - The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) on Friday announced that registration for the regional second division league for the year 2006 had gotten underway. A release copied to the Ghana News Agency and signed by Mr Francis Dogbatse, Chairman of the Association stated that while registration of players continued, registration of clubs would close on September 8. The release said the move was to ensure that the association had a successful season.

It therefore entreated all clubs to endeavour to process and complete registration before the stipulated time since no club would be allowed to register after the stated deadline. The release said affiliation and participation fee for old clubs was six hundred thousand cedis, while the fee for new entrants was eight hundred thousand cedis.

It said each affiliated club was to send two representatives to the Regional Congress scheduled for September 15 before the commencement of the league on September 24 at all centres.
