Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey and PAOK defender Baba Rahman have reportedly been named in the soon-to-be-announced Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers in June.
According to Akoma FM, the duo, after missing out on the last international assignment in March, have been named among Otto Addo's 24-man squad to face Mali and the Central African Republic.
The report also indicates that former Medeama striker Jonathan Sowah will make his return to the squad following his impressive stint at Al Nassr in Libya.
Sowah will replace Atletico Club striker Inaki Williams, who has been ruled out following foot surgery.
Regarding debutants named in the squad, Cagliari midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana is said to be the only new face.
The Black Stars will begin their camping for the games on Thursday, May 30, 2024, according to the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
In a statement released by the GFA on Monday, May 27, 2024, the Black Stars will host a six-day training camp before departing for Bamako on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
