Administrative Manager of Medeama SC, Benjamin Kesse has disclosed they have no intentions of playing in the upcoming GHALCA (G) 6 tournament and the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League season scheduled to start on December 18th.

The management of the Tarkwa-based club are currently struggling to keep up with the huge financial burden on the team, and has gone ahead to declare bankruptcy and have putting the club for sale. Medeama were Ghana’s sole representative in 2015/16 season’s CAF Confederations Cup but was knocked out of the competition by MO Bejai in the group stage.

Speaking to Kumasi based Kessben FM, Mr. Kesse said, “We have no plans of going to camp ahead of the G6 Tournament. “The team is up for sale, the players can start negotiations with any club of their choice. “We can’t continue anymore. We won’t even participate in the league if no one comes on”, he furiously bemoaned.

Medeama SC finished the 2015/16 season at the 4th position with 46 points.
