Mahatma scissor-kick helps Sogndal to victory

Ghana stand-by striker Mahatma Otoo scored a wonderful acrobatic overhead kick for Sogndal FF in their 2-1 victory over FK Brann in the Norwegian top-flight on Tuesday evening.

The 22-year-old hit the opener for Sogndal under just six minutes and helped them protect the victory until he was replaced in the 93rd minute.

Sogndal went into the tie at the Fosshaugane Campus in high mood following their impressive form in their last four league games with the Ghanaian striker playing a crucial role in the success.

The former Hearts of Oak playmaker was on point with his timing as he turned home Azar Karadas weighted cross from the right with an overhead kick, to register his 5th league goal of the season.

Otoo’s fine form for Sogndal has seen him make the Ghana stand-by list for the 2014 World Cup.
