Kotoko plot marquee signings for Africa next year

Asante Kotoko are preparing to make key signings as they bid to end a 32-year trophy drought in Africa.

The Porcupine Warriors have been by far the best Ghanaian team for the past three years but have struggled to replicate their dominance on the continent.

Elimination to Algerian side JSM Bejaia two years ago was equally embarrassing like last year’s exit at the hands of minnows BYC of Liberia.

“We are working round the clock to improve the team. We have failed to impose ourselves in Africa for way too long and we are running out of excuses,” Kotoko’s acting CEO Opoku Nti told GHANASoccernet.com.

“We will try as much as possible to do well next season knowing that once we do our homework well we will be there,” he hadded.

Kotoko need a win at New Edubiase United on today to win their third straight Ghana Premier League title.
