Lions offload 17 and bring in 11 players

Kpando Heart of Lions have parted ways with 17 players sportscrusader.com can exclusively reveal.

Notable among them are inspirational captain, Daniel Acquaye and Nana Egyiri, formally of Hearts of Oak and Medeama SC.

Sportscrusader.com sources say out of the 17 players released, 10 are from the under 20 team whiles the other 7 are with their senior team.

Lions, who are bent on restoring glory have been very active in the transfer market with reports linking former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy and Ahmed Simba Toure to them.

If a deal is struck between the Kpando team and the former Feyernood Academy star, McCarthy will be the 12th player to join next season’s CAF Champions League campaigners.
