Le Roy gets down to work

Ghana coach, Claude Le Roy gets down to work as he conducts his first Black Stars training session Tuesday evening ahead of Wednesday?s Kirin Challenge Cup 2006 friendly match against Japan.

The senior national side, the Black Stars arrived in Yokohama for the international friendly on Monday.

Ghana?s squad would undergo their first practice session at the match venue at 17:00 GMT.

Claude Le Roy who was appointed Black Stars coach last month would be in charge of the team?s training session with assistance from the backroom staff.

The game against Japan would be the first for the Frenchman since putting pen to paper for the Black Stars job.

Ghana?s game against Japan would be first between both nations at the senior level.

Japan coach Ivica Osim on Sunday named a 20-man locally-based squad for the friendly against Ghana.

The Japanese began life under new coach Ivica Osim with a 2-0 victory over Trinidad & Tobago in August.

Ghana won her last international friendly, beating fellow World Cup participants, Togo 2-0 in their first post World Cup game in London two months ago.

Wednesday?s international friendly kicks off at 11:20 GMT at the International Stadium.
