Kotoko, Medeama to engage in play-off

Asante Kotoko and Medeama FC would meet for the third time this season, this time to determine their positions in the just ended Glo Premier League.

Both sides are level on points and also even via the head-to-head rule, meaning they play a one-off game as the rules and regulations regarding competitions in Ghana stipulate.

The two sides would line up on Wednesday, June 15, at the Ohene Djan Stadium to determine their positions on the standings.

"The Premier League Board has decided that Asante Kotoko and Medeama should play a match to determine their positions on the League table in accordance with the terms of Article 8.5 (a – d) of the FA Regulations.

"Subject to paragraph 1 above, the play-off has been fixed for Wednesday, 15th June, 2011 at the Ohene Djan Stadium at 4.00 pm," an FA statement said.
