Black Stars Need Love And Unity More Than Anything

Love has three different meanings: (1) It is a feeling in your heart. (2) It
is a word you can say. (3) It is an action. The best way to show the love
you feel in your heart is to tell others you love them and do something nice
for them to appreciate.
Football is a passion, a powerful or compelling emotion or feeling that can
be amorous or desirous, and also an enthusiasm or affection that is good.
Ghanaians love their game and the team, the Black Stars, for some of the
supporters would not bother to pay huge sums of money to follow them and
cheer them up to win. No matter where and when some fans are ever ready to
go anywhere to support Ghana.
So if the fans love the players, how should the players also love themselves
or the team?
Being team members, they already know what is good, better, best and
palatable for them if they want victories and trophies or want to be mere
participants in the game.
The Black Stars have now become very competitive and every Ghanaian
Footballer deserves a chance to prove himself if he is of that class
standard.
This competition can turn to hatred because two very good stars are eyeing
one position, or the top players in big clubs will try to overshadow the
young players who are coming up to be the stars of the future.
Coach Plavi indeed has a lot to do with and with the star studded team.
The Black Stars will definitely be the envy of every coach as they have
mostly very good players. Believe that three Ghanaians were highly rated in
the international media. Andre Dede Ayew, Asamoah Gyan and Kevin Prince
Boateng were in the best of all European ratings for 2011.
Others like Kwadwo Asamoah, Daniel Opare , Isaac Vorsah, Samuel Inkoom, John
Mensah, Anthony Annan, Prince Tagoe and Sulley Muntari all received high
mentions with their clubs and can feature as world class stars.
Michael Essien and Richard Kingson have also done it before and continue to
do their best.
Ah! What a star team for the Black Stars who have made it a target and dream
to grab the next African Nations Cup.
They are capable because in the last two Championships in Ghana and Angola,
they were third and second respectively, and I know with love and unity as
well as no show of pride or egoism, Ghana can even win the World Cup in the
land of the samba Boys, come 2014.
The Agoro Boys have arrived and coach Plavi is the man to watch and pray
for. He needs all the peace of mind to make the right selection at the right
time and right substitution at the right time.
When Ghana had won the African Cup three times Cameruon has not even won
once, now they have four and Egypt has five. It is about time Ghana takes
its rightful position in African football.
Ghana is the best African nation. Ghana play the most exciting game just
like Brazil, but we call it Agoro meaning “play”. We play with passion, also
called love.
Love is thus the key to open doors of success for Ghana in 2012 and beyond.
We can remember the days of Abedi Pele and Tony Yeboah over who was who? It
landed Ghana nowhere and rather tarnished the career of the players.
We must learn from the past for a positive future. Love is the deal.
Former Skipper Stephen Tornado Appiah show what it means to love and current
captain John Mensah must show same or even do better. After all he has the
boys and men surround him. As theb General on the field he must marshal them
to glory upon glory.

The fans and officials have greater roles to play and the media has the
greatest role to inform, educate and transform Ghana Football.
All hands should be on deck for Ghana to be the best once again and maintain
it. It is just sad to hear that Ghana won the World Youth can in 2009 and
failed to quality to defend the Cup.

After the marvelous World Cup in South Africa that exposed stars like Kevin
Prince Boateng, Dede Ayew, Jonathan Mensah and Isaac Vorsah, it is time to
go for the major international titles.

The Black Stars must now show their allegiance and loyalty. Without these
two qualities no one can tell whether a player is patriotic or
nationalistic.

This is the time the players must be united and have a state of mind towards
the 2012 Nations Cup Agenda and the 2014 World Cup Operation. Working with
the three principles of dramatic structure, the stars can conquer Africa
again. All they need is unity of time, unity of place and unity of action.
