The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, was spotted boarding a flight to Germany alongside some football fans ahead of the Black Stars’ friendly match in Stuttgart.

The minister was accompanied by Appiah Stadium, known for his strong support for President John Dramani Mahama, who was also among the fans making the trip.

One of the fans said, “We are going to support the Black Stars. On Monday, God willing, it will be a win, there is no doubt about that. We are going with the sports minister.”

Appiah Stadium also commented, saying, “The 5-1 defeat will be overturned against the Germans. This is the first time in history a sports minister smiles and laughs so much; there is no other sports minister like him.”

Meanwhile, the team continues to face heavy criticisms from fans and pundits following their disastrous performance against Austria.

Pressure is mounting on the players and the technical team to redeem themselves against Die Mannschaft as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Head coach Otto Addo now faces the daunting task of turning things around in the second friendly, where a strong performance will be crucial to easing the pressure ahead of the World Cup.

Ghana will face Germany in their second friendly on Monday, March 30, 2026.
