Frank Odoi - A definite Resource for Brazil 2014

When it comes to the history of Soccer Ghana’a Frank Odoi alias VC 10 is one to be reckoned with. Frank played for Olympics and was a Black Star member with the likes of Cecil Attukweifio. Frank left Ghana in 1968 to play for DC united in Washington. Frank happens to be one of the pioneers of American soccer.

Frank Odoi during his playing years played in various states, notably was the Rochester Lancers where he even played against Pele. Frank Odoi spent some time coaching at the college level after he retired from active Soccer. He coached at the State University of New York College at Brockport and during those years, through his efforts, students from the University College of Education were recruited to play for Suny Brockport.

Frank Odoi advanced from the College level and coached the Rochester Raging Rhinos and during those years he recruited Ghanaian players to the team two of such players was Eben Dugbatey, and Freddie Olloquaye Commodore. Whilst working with the Rhinos, the team won the American championship 4 years consecutively.

When it comes to American Soccer A league, as well as in the MLS, Frank Odoi is a force to be reckoned with. He has experience in scouting at the various levels, Frank has played for the Black Stars at the Olympics, the African cup of nations and I believe that he should be assigned a role to scout for the Ghana football Association to ensure a win against America.
