Feyenoord pull down Asante Kotoko

Swedru, Oct. 4, GNA - Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord registered their first win the five-week-old Ghana Telecom premier League when they beat Asante Kotoko 1-0 in their match played at Agona Swedru. Feyenoord who were determined to carry the day, played a tactical game when Noel Nyasagbor gave a 30 yard ground shot, which beat goalkeeper Isaac Amoako in the 37th minute.

Kotoko wasted all their chances, which came their way including four corner-kicks they had in the first half.

The goal made Kotoko supporters dumb-founded until referee Patrick Azizah of Tema whistled for the end of the first half. Kotoko came strongly into the picture in the second half as if they were going to equalize but, Feyenoord showed high class defensive tactics to contain the strikers of Kotoko.

Feyenoord made three changes to soak the pressure from Kotoko, who were eager to equalize until the final whistle.
