Dede relishing Jordan Ayew meeting

Ghana international Andre Dede Ayew says it is a weird feeling when he plays against his brother Jordan Ayew ahead of their potential meeting in the English Premier League on Saturday.

The brothers have had contrasting starts to their premier league careers with Dede on four goals already and Jordan struggling to make an impact on his Aston Villa side.

Dede says from the day both of them knew they will be playing their club football in the English Premier League, October 24th has been the important date for them.

“We have been talking about this game since both of us got into the premiership,” he told the Swansea’s official TV channel. “We are quite happy about it but Swansea need to win.”

“I looked at it (the fixture). I won’t lie. I looked at it to see when we were going to play against them. It is going to be tough. Even though it is family it is business time as soon as we get unto the pitch and business is to fight for your club.”

The meeting at Villa Park could be the second straight season that the brothers face each other on opposite sides after they squared off in the French league last season with Dede representing Marseilles and Jordan playing for Lorient.

“It was a weird feeling because I have always had the chance to be with him at Marseille,” Dede said of that meeting. “That day we lost. I don't want it to happen again. He scored two goals that day and I scored one. This time we need to get the three points and start a great period.”

While Dede has had a far better start to his career in England than Jordan, the goals have dried up for him lately just around the time when Swansea are suffering a dip in form too.

Dede admits he needs to get his mojo back.

“It is important that when the team is winning everyone gets along with it. Some players need to take responsibility for us to get back to winning ways and I am part of those players and I know that I am part of those players.”
