Besiktas board tells Boateng to stay in Turkey amid coronavirus fears

Besiktas forward Kevin-Prince Boateng expressed his desire to leave Turkey to Ghana or Germany due to the spread of the coronavirus but the management of the club has asked him to stay according to reports.

The virus has triggered the suspension of the Super League in Turkey and Boateng wanted to use that opportunity to go to his home in Germany or spend some time for the country he represented internationally, Ghana.

The management of Turkey however wrote a short message asking Boateng to stay put.

The 33 year old is now self isolating in Turkey and is undertaking some individual training to get himself in shape for when the league resumes.
