Baba named in Telegraph’s worse EPL signings

Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman has been named among the worse signings so far in the English Premier League.

A survey conducted by UK-based Sports portal, the Telegraph, saw the Ghanaian international among the flop signings so far in the Barclays Premiership.

The ranking which was done according to the buy-clause of the players saw Rahman ranked 5th in the list released by the UK sports website.

Top of the ranking was Colombian Rademal Falcao who moved from Manchester United to Chelsea.

Manchester United’s Memphis Depay, Newcastle’s Florian Thauvin and Liverpool attacker Christian Benteke were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.

Other players who were included in the 20-man list were Adama Troare, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Gokhan Inler, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Fabio Borini, Roberto Firminho and Connor Wickham.

The rest include Rickie Lambert, Matteo Darmian, Patrick Roberts, Papy Djilobodji, Rudy Gestede, James Chester, Eder and Nikica Jelavic.

The Ghanaian international has made 9 appearances for the English Champions so far this season.

The former Kotoko and Greathur Furth left-back joined Chelsea in a £21million deal from German Bundesliga outfit Augsburg.

The defender will be hoping to sneak his way into the first team under new manager Guus Hiddink.
