Ghanaian midfielder Prince Buaben scored from a wonderful 25 yards effort and inspired his Hearts of Midlothian side to overcome his former club Dundee United 3-2 in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday evening.

The 27-year-old former Ajax Amsterdam Academy product gave Hearts the lead before Osman Sow slotted home a penalty, not before Scott Fraser pulled another back and Mark Durnan saw red.

Gavin Reilly had pulled even for them in the 17th minute before Buaben scored to put them in the lead 9 minutes after his goal.

The ball broke to Buaben 25-yards out and he drove straight at Szromnik, but the Utd keeper could only push the ball into the corner of the net. A goalkeeping error but one that Hearts would gladly take.

Buaben, an Akosombo-born, has now scored two league goals for Hearts.
