B/A United ask George Arthur to hand over properties

Sunyani (B/A) July 15, GNA - The Board of Directors of Brong-Ahafo United Football Club has directed Mr. George Arthur, former Chief Executive Officer of the club to hand over the club's properties in his custody on or before Thursday, July 15, 2004.

A letter dated July 13 and signed by Mr. Joe Boahen, the Board Secretary asked Mr. Arthur to hand over the players' registration cards, jerseys and all others to the club's Interim Management Committee (IMC) as soon as possible before the suspended novelty premier league re-starts.

The letter was addressed to Mr. Arthur and copied to the Regional Minister, Regional Police Commander, the Sunyani District Police Commander, the Regional BNI Commander and the Press.

It referred to the Board's first letter dated June 14, this year to the former Chief Executive following his resignation that directed him to hand over the items but which up to date he had failed to comply with. The letter appealed to Mr. Arthur to comply with the second directive without further delay "In order not to repeat the same mob action you initiated to recover the properties from the former chief executive officer,(Mr. Osei Bonsu, alias Kofi Zico), when he also failed to hand over the properties".

Mr. Arthur was not immediately available for his comment.
