Celebrities claim Christian Atsu 'Messi' of Black Stars for Stars Soccer Fiesta
The nation’s new football sensation Christian Atsu is being claimed to play for their team by the Celebrities ahead of the Stars Soccer Fiesta Reloaded 2012 scheduled for the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on June 24. Christian Atsu has shot into sudden fame after making an impressive performance crowned with a goal on his debut for the Black Stars against Lesotho in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier on the 1st of June in Kumasi.
The wonder kid who has also earned the nickname ‘Messi’ in apparent reference to his mesmerizing left foot, is set to feature again in the charity game dubbed Stars Soccer Fiesta reloaded that introduced him into the fray last year when he featured for the Musicians/Actors Team. This is why the Celebrities are claiming him to feature again for them.
Additionally, the Celebrities who are also counting on footballer cum rapper Asamoah Gyan to feature for them, are also hoping other soccer stars such as Emmanuel Adebayor of Manchester City and Togo, Sunderland and Benin playmaker Stephan Sessegnon as well as Liberian great George Oppong Weah will allplay for the Celebrities team.
