Launching Of Amputee Football World Cup

The Ghana Amputee Football Federation will on Monday, June 18, launch the Amputee Football World at the La Bawaleshie Park, to begin activities aimed at ensuring Ghana’s successful participation in the biennial event to be held in Russia from October 6 to 15.
The ceremony will see popular musicians like King Ayisoba, Antwi ne Antwi and Nana Ampofo, Amputee Football Ambassadors, unveiling the official song of the national team the Black Challenge for the tournament.
The newly crowned SWAG Chairman of the Year 2011, who is the President of the Amputee Football Federation of Africa (AFFA) as well as the Ghana Amputee Football Federation (GAFF) will be joined by some renowned international football stars like Emmanuel Adebayor, Stephen Appiah, Prince Tagoe, among others, to formally launch Ghana’s 2012 World Cup campaign and fund raising activities.
The national amputee football team, the Black Challenge, will play an exhibition curtain raiser match prior to a special Monday Stars game between Godwin Attram XI and Monday Stars XI.
The Monday Stars match will feature the current and former international stars like Godwin Attram, Emmanuel Adebayor, John Mensah, Stephen Appiah, Laryea Kingston, Awuley Quaye Jnr, Rahim Ayew, Prince Tagoe, Kwame Ayew, Augustine Arhinful, Mark Edusei, among others.
The ceremony begins at 2 p.m.
The media and the general public are invited.
