Asante Kotoko to begin pre-season on November 2

Dethroned league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko has scheduled November 2, for members of the playing body to re-group for the commencement of its preseason training.

The former league champions went on a six-week break after the turbulent 2014/15 season that saw them relinquish the title.

David Duncan’s charges has promised to wrestle back the domestic league crown from regional neighbours, Ashgold.

It is allow the technical team the much needed time to put across their technical and tactical plans ahead of the 2015/16 season.

The 24 times league champions has been boosted by the return of the Assistant coach Micheal Osei ahead of the pre-season program.

Both the newly recruited and the contracted players are to report at the Adako Jachie training ground on Monday to end the six week buffer period enjoyed at the end of the season.

The team is expected to commence intense pre-season with beach work outside Kumasi. The beach work is expected to assist the team regain its fitness after the long break.

“We passed through difficult times in the 2014/15 season but hopefully we are looking to improve on our performance next season. I wish the incoming players best of luck .

All players are expected to come to camp on Monday, November 2, 2015 but I will join the team later”.

Kumasi has acquired the services of Ernest Sorwah ahead of the 2014/15 as the headline signing for the upcoming season. The recruitment team look set to add to the team ahead of the kick off somewhere in December 2015.
