Ghana will play the Comoros Island in the first round of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers next month after the tiny country secured a shock victory over highly-fancied Lesotho on Tuesday.

Comoros earned an important away draw on Tuesday to progress to the next round of 2018 World Cup qualifying.

Comoros are ranked 193rd in the latest Fifa World Rankings and managed a 1-1 draw in Lesotho and that was the same score on aggregate.

Mohamed M’Changama’s 71st minute goal in Maseru was enough to earn the tiny island nation a tie against Ghana next month.

The winner of the two-legged match next month will reach the league stage of the qualifiers for the tournament in Russia.
