Accra Great Olympics General Manager, Oluboi Commodore has said Ghana Premier League sides Aduana Stars and Medeama S.C are the best teams to represent Ghana in next season CAF Inter-club competition.

The Ghana Football Association's Executive Council met on Tuesday, June 30 to cancel the current season which has been on hold for three months due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

The decision to cancel the season meant last season's representatives in Africa for Ghana, AshantiGold S.C, and Asante Kotoko S.C will get to play in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup and Champions League respectively.

Asante Kotoko won the Tier I Special Competition to play in the CAF Champions League whilst AshantiGold SC won the Tier II to play in the Confederation Cup.

However, according to Oluboi, per the performance of the two teams in the league before the season was put on hold, Aduana Stars and Medeama S.C should be the teams to represent Ghana in Africa for the 2021/20 season.

Aduana Stars and Medeama are in a fine form than Kotoko and AshGold who will represent the nation in the CAF Interclub competition when football returns”, he told Rainbow Radio.

Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold were unable to progress to the group of the various competition in the 2019/2020 Africa club competitions.
