Myron Boadu, Hudson-Odoi join Kudus Mohammed on 2020 Golden Boy Award shortlist

Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Myron Boadu, Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, and FC Nordsjaelland whizkid Mohammed Kudus have been shortlisted for the 2020 Golden Ball Award.

The trio has been in excellent form for their clubs in the 2019/20 season.

Boadu scored 14 goals in the Dutch Eredivisie and provided 8 assists before the season was ended due to Coronavirus.

Hudson-Odoi returns to the Chelsea team for the rest of the campaign that has seen him create four assists and scored a goal in the Premier League.

Kudus Mohammed, who earned his national team debut for Ghana last November, has netted 9 goals in 19 games for Danish side FC Nordsjaelland.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport came up with the award in 2003 to reward the best young player (under the age of 21) in Europe.

Dutchman Rafael van der Vaart was the first winner 17 years ago and the former Tottenham Hotspur man was followed by Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas, and Sergio Aguero.

In recent times, Paul Pogba, Raheem Sterling, Kylian Mbappe, and Matheus de Light have all won the award.
