Ayawaso West Donates GHC592,000 worth of health equipment to Legon Hospital

The Municipal Chief Executive of Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly, Sandra Owusu- Ahinkorah has made a donation of Health Equipment and other items to the University Hospital, Legon.

The items included anesthesia, electrocardiogram and Trolley Machines

Other items presented include several dustbins, Veronica buckets and stands.

Amongst those who made the presentation for the Municipal Assembly were the Coordinating Director Mr. Joshua Asihene, Municipal Health Director, Dr. Louisa Mantey, and other senior officers.

Mr. Joshua Asihene pointed out that the Assembly has taken upon itself to assist institutions in the municipality and the donation of the equipment is one of the ways they chose. He also added that they would have made the presentation a long time ago but for but the presence of COVID-19.

Dr. Eric Frempong Medical Director University Hospital, Dr. Timothy Senunyeme, Head of Obstetrics n Gynaecology Unit, and some other staff of the facility received the items.

Dr. Senunyeme thanked the MCE and the Assembly for donating such essential machines to the facility. He promised that it will go a long way to enhance health delivery, especially at the maternity unit.
