The Christian family is undecided as to what to do after President Akufo Addo eased social gathering restrictions last Sunday, May 31.

A follow-up press conference by the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Kofi Dzamesi also outlined detailed guidelines that churches and mosques must follow to begin in-house services again.

However, since the details were outlined, the Christian body has been divided as to what to do. While some are going ahead and promising to uphold those directives, others are also choosing to continue with virtual services.

The Empowerment Worship Centre is the latest church to issue a statement saying it would continue with virtual services.

However, it added that other services such as weddings, naming ceremonies and funerals will be held with strict adherence to safety guidelines.
