322 Legon students not properly registered

Accra, Nov.29, GNA - Mr. Enoch A. Amartey, Acting Director of the Academic Affairs Directorate of the University of Ghana on Monday said about 322 students who turned up to write their examinations last Sunday had not registered with the Academic Affairs Directorate of the University.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) Mr. Amartey said some of the students registered with their Halls of Residence and Departments but failed to register with the Directorate.

He warned that any student who failed to register with the Directorate ceased to be a student of the University. Mr. Amartey said the students were permitted to write their examinations but the Directorate would nullify examinations of students who failed to register properly with the University.

In another development, due to the spate of stealing properties belonging to students during examinations, Mr. Amartey advised students not to send their bags to the Examination centres. He said the last paper for the Semester had been scheduled for Saturday, December 10.
