Former captain of Inter Allies Isaac Twum has encouraged Ghana Premier League clubs to embrace the return of experience footballers rather than tagging them as ‘lame dark.

Some section of Ghanaian football advocates describe players who are in their late 20's as old and waste and that, cannot add value to the game anymore.

But report gathered in the local media suggest that, experienced footballers like Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan are subject of interest for Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

Twum, who was named as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2017 WAFU cup of nations after leading the Black Stars B to lift the trophy thinks that the Ghana league will be better off with experience players like Gyan and Muntari.

“The return of Gyan and Muntari in the GPL will help a lot. Even players plying their trade in the local front will be extra motivated to share the field with these stars. Again, their influence will also help the clubs to generate money, so I will entreat clubs not to rule out on players who have seen it all”

“Those players participating in the league will raise its standard and also people will be excited to watch” he told Bryt Power Sports in an interview.
