Ashgold CEO Fred Acheampong resigns

Chief Executive Officer of AshantiGold SC Frederick Acheampong has resigned from his position, FMIG can confirm.

His resignation brings an end to a two year stint with the Obuasi based Ghana Premier League club after joining them in April 2018.

Fred ‘Achie’ as he is popularly referred to in the media circles is also an executive council member of the Ghana Football Association.

It is not yet known the exact reasons for his resignation but the club’s president Dr Kwaku Frimpong has confirmed the development.

He told Oyerepa FM that he has received the resignation letter and has accepted.
