Coronavirus: First Lady launches Relief Box Challenge to provide food for vulnerable in society

The Rebecca Foundation has launched Relief Boxes Challenge as part of a humanitarian service for underprivileged persons in the wake of the lockdown.

The challenge is geared towards encouraging individuals and organizations especially those in the retail business to partner with the Rebecca Foundation to donate boxes of Food, everyday household items and hygiene products to the vulnerable including widows, the aged, destitute, people with special needs and kayaye with children.

Announcing this, the First Lady mentioned that the country is in troubling times and this is a call to duty to provide for the needy and vulnerable in society.

She also underscored the need to help the spread of the disease to ensure the sick recovers.



Madam Rebbeca Akufo-Addo used the opportunity all individual and Corporate entities to take up the challenge at ensuring that relief is provided for the vulnerable in society.

The first lady announced that Orca Deco had donated 5,000 boxes of food items for the foundation’s first donation today.
