Coronavirus: Empowerment Worship Centre donates PPEs to Ridge hospital

Empowerment Worship Centre, on Wednesday, presented some Coronavirus relief items to the Ridge Hospital to support the hospital’s fight against the spread of the deadly virus.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) which includes, nose masks, gloves, coveralls, and hand sanitizers were handed over to the hospital.

The items was presented by some pastors of the Church, Pastor Paul Lartey and Pastor Sultan, on behalf of the head pastor, Prophet Gideon Danso.

According to the pastors, there was the need to support the hospital in times like this as they urged Ghanaians not to panic but have faith in times of crisis.

The Medical Director of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Srofenyoh, who received the items expressed gratitude for the timely intervention of the church noting that the donation comes in handy for the items needed for urgent usage to help curb the virus.

“We are indeed very grateful. If you go through the list of items that have been provided these are exactly the items we needed especially the nose mask, hand sanitizers. We need these things in huge quantities and it is in that respect that we really are grateful for the gesture that the church has really shown.”

He urged other organizations to emulate this gesture, to enable them break the chain of infection.

“We want to use this medium to appeal to other organization to come to the aid of the staff and people who are caring for the affected people.” He added.
