Ghana has confirmed its seventh Covid 19 case, MyNewsGh.com can authoritatively confirm.

The website of the Ghana Health Service has been updated accordingly, as our checks revealed.

According to officials, the patient is a 35-year-old man is a Ghanaian citizen who returned from France a couple of days ago and was subjected to a 14-day quarantine.

Following the quarantine process and observation, test from the University of Ghana’s Noguchi confirmed him as positive.

In a related development, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has tracked down hundred and ninety-nine (199) contacts who were traced from the six (6) confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country, bringing the total to 350.

This was disclosed by the Disease Surveillance Department of the Ghana Health Service on their Twitter handle, Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

“A total of six cases have been confirmed so far with no local transmission. 350 contacts have been identified for these cases. Follow up for these contacts have commenced.”
