Belgian-born Ghanaian forward Jeremy Doku scored a brace and registered an assist as Anderlecht smashed Zulte Waregem 7-0 in the Jupilar Pro League on Saturday.

All eyes were on Doku ahead of the game after hitting a rich vein of form for the Purple and White lads this season.

But it was Ewoud Plentinckx who opened the scoring for Anderlecht in the 6th minute via an own goal.

In-form Michel Vlap doubled the hosts lead in the 15th minute before Doku made it 3-1 with a sleek finish in the 49th minute.

Vlap scored from the penalty spot in the 64th minute before Doku completed his brace on the 75th minute mark.

Anderlecht continued to press for more goals and they deservedly got it through Vlap in the 83rd minute.

Doku turned provider three minutes later by laying on a sweet pass to Nacer Chadli to seal the big victory.

He played full throttle while Francis Amuzu made a brief appearance for the victors with Gideon Mensah also lasting full period of action for Zulte.

Anderlecht are now 1 point behind KV Mechelen and KRC Genk (both 44 points) with one game to go before the Play-Offs. Only one place is left in PO1.

One of these three teams will take the final spot next Sunday.

Anderlecht play as guests to STVV while KRC Genk will be hosting KV Mechelen.
