Newly-appointed Ghana Football Association Head of Communications, Henry Asante Twum has disclosed that the Media committee weren't vibrant under Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Asante says the FA does not need a media committee because the committee were not energetic in the past because the media industry is not united.

He told FOX 97.9 FM, "For me we don't need a media committee for the GFA. This is because the media committees of the FA under the former President Nyantakyi were not vibrant, because in the (media) industry we are not that united.

"Another challenge was the issue of distance which made it difficult to hold meetings.... I think we need something different and I have suggested that in my policy to the EXCO".

Asante has over 15 years of experience in the media landscape, having worked for Tema Youth FC and Premier League club, Dreams FC as Director of Communications.

He has also worked with several Ghanaian media houses notably Radio XYZ, Starr FM, GhOne TV, GBC among others.
