826 students who were deferred due to failing to register within the allocated time have been given a final chance to do so.

At a press conference held on the 24th of January at the university’s premises, the registrar of TTU, Moses McLean Abnory explained that the deferment was as a result of the students’ failure to register within the specified time even after extensions had been given.

He also denied allegations that the deferred students were awaiting students’ loan since many were yet to pay their fees but had registered with some parents of students negotiating for a payment plan.

He pointed out that the deferred students had themselves to blame and not the university.

After appealing to the school’s management, the SRC has managed to get the school’s management to give the deferred students one last chance to redeem themselves with the condition that fees are paid in full and registration is done for both first and second semesters before or on 15th March 2020 latest.

In a communique released unto several WhatsApp platforms, the SRC clearly stated that it will not plead on behalf of students who would not make use of this given chance.

All affected students are advised to adhere to the conditions given in order to avoid any complications.
