Eddie Nketiah scores as Arsenal win thriller against Everton

English born Ghanaian Eddie Nketiah was on target for Arsenal as the Gunners beat Everton in a thrilling encounter at the Emirates.

Nketiah leveled Calvert Lewin's early opener for Everton after connecting to a Bukayo Saka's brilliant cross.

Gabon international Aubameyang put Arsenal ahead with a neat finish inside the box in the 33rd minute, but Richarlison poked Everton level late in the half as the hosts failed to clear a set piece in a game where defensive solidity was not the order of the day.

The Gunner's took the lead after 22 seconds in the second half through forward Pierre Emerick Augbamayeng.

Nketiah lasted the entire duration and was constantly a threat to the Everton defence.

The 20-year old was recalled by manager Mikel Arteta from his loan spell at Championship side Leeds United during the winter transfer window.

The Spaniard seems to trust the youngster, who is starting ahead of Frenchman Alexander Lacazette.
