Former Ghana international Godwin Attram raised eyebrows on Saturday as he made a brief return to action for his side, Attram De-Visser Academy in their FA Cup match against Tema Youth.

Attram, 39, has hanged his boots for more than 5 years now and has taken to coaching since. He currently serves as Head Coach for Attram De Visser, a club he also has a stake in.

In their MTN FA Cup round of 64 clash with Tema Youth on Saturday, Attram decided to lace his boots and get back to playing albeit briefly as his side succumbed to a 2-1 loss to their opponents.

Attram entered the game in the closing stages of the game much to the surprise of many onlookers.

Known during his heydays as a very influential midfielder, Godwin Attram however failed to have any impact as his side lost the game and suffered elimination.

Attram gained much prominence in the local football setting due to his exploits for Great Olympics in the late 90’s.

His career abroad didn’t really hit expected levels and after over 15 years of sojourning he returned to his roots in 2015, and retired shortly after that.

As a Ghanaian international Attram featured ten time for the Black Stars.
