The 40-footer container with the contaminated poultry products is still being kept at the State Warehouse awaiting destruction.

This follows the inability of the importer to pay the destruction fee of about 15-thousand Ghana Cedis.

The Director of Veterinary Services at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Dr. Kwabena Asiedu-Baah, said the Port Authorities and the Bureau of National Investigations have been duly informed.

Dr. Asiedu-Baah called for collaboration between the Veterinary Services and the FDA in handling and clearing of such products.

Meanwhile, the Food and Drugs Authority, FDA says it is collaborating with other stakeholders to trace the rest of the contaminated containers which are already on the market.
