The Ghanaian economy under the management of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has seen a drastic improvement over the past few years, an economist and a lecturer at the University of Ghana, Dr. Ebo Turkson, has said.

He said this while speaking on Joynews’ ‘Newsfile’ on Saturday, 15th February in connection with the town hall meeting organised by Dr. Bawumia in Kumasi.

Dr Turkson said: “The micro and macroeconomic indicators have seen improvement under this government which clearly underscore that Ghana’s economy is back on track.”

“The establishment of the Fiscal Responsibility Act, which is the new anchor of discipline for the government of Ghana is also instilling discipline in fiscal transaction,” Dr. Turkson added.

He also indicated that the government has been able to lay a solid macroeconomic foundation upon which several development projects by government can be anchored.
