Accra, July 7, GNA - The Ministry of Tourism and Modernisation of the Capital City and the Ghana Tourist Board on Thursday announced that the second phase of its training programme for personnel in the hospitality industry was to take off.
A statement signed by Ms Felicia Aniagyei, Principal Public Relations Officer, said the training programme, which would address concerns and raise standards in the hospitality industry would start this month and end in December this year.
It said, the programme, which was being co-sponsored by the African Project Development Facility of the International Finance Corporation, would start in Accra and Tema and later extended to the regions. The about 8,000 personnel expected to be trained at the end of the nationwide programme would comprise food and beverage service providers and front line officers in the hospitality industry.
