Ghana Tours urged to consider increasing baggage allowance

H.E. Mr. Isaac Osei, Ghana?s High Commissioner to the UK, has urged Ghana Tours, one of the operators of charter flights to Ghana to consider increasing its baggage allowance for the travelling public.

He said apart from increasing its volume of passengers, such a step would be a way of showing appreciation to the travelling public through whose patronage the operations of Ghana Tours had become a reality.

He urged Ghana Tours/Astraeus Limited to ensure that their flights depart and arrive on time in order to gain the confidence of the travelling public.

Mr. Osei made the comments during discussions in London with Mr. Peter Cox, Head of Sales of Astraeus Limited, carrier of Ghana Tours. Present at the meeting were Ms. Stella Tamakloe, Business Development and Public Relations of Ghana Tours and Mr. Fritz Andoh, Minister Counsellor of Information of the Ghana High Commission.

High Commissioner Osei hoped the new partnership between Astraeus Limited and Ghana Tours would benefit both parties and consolidate the gains already chalked by the latter through its flight operations into the country.

He was optimistic that the partnership would rocket the operations of Ghana Tours to greater heights within the airline industry and added that the government of the NPP would continue to support legitimate endeavours of the private sector aimed at creating job opportunities and providing efficient services.

Mr Cox said the company?s collaboration with Ghana Tours was borne out of its desire, among things, to help boost the promotion of tourism in Ghana.
