MTN presents GHC 3,000 cheque to Egyaa No.2 Okyir Festival

Chiefs and people of Egyaa No2, a community located in the Mfantseman District of the Central Region have taken delivery of Ghc GHC 3,000.00 cheque, airtime worth GHC 300.00 and drinks hamper from MTN , the leading Telecommunications Giant in Ghana to support this year's celebration of the 2019 Egyaa No. 2 Okyir Festival.

MTN will again organise sales promotion during the cause of the event to support the organization of the festival and also help patrons win various MTN products and recharge cards.

Presenting the items to the Afahye Planning Committee on behalf of MTN, Mr. Price Owusu Nyarko - South West Regional Senior Manager, commended the people of Egyaa No2 for their continuous support for MTN.

He retreated MTN's commitment to support festivals in Ghana to project a lot about the African society which is considered as an integral part of the African culture.

"MTN is identified with the heritage of Ghanaians and in view of this, we come in each year to support with cash and donation to make the festival memorable for the indigenes and revellers" he stated.

Chief of Egyaa No2, Nana Otsiwakuma IV thanked MTN for remembering them and just like Oliver Twist asked for more pleaded with MTN to repeat the gesture annually. He revealed the festival had to be celebrated in November at the expense on the normal month which is October due some challenges.

He furthermore pleaded with MTN to support their annual ritual which is linked to the festival in other years.
